My educational career began as a teacher of students with moderate and severe behavioral disorders with AEA7 in Waterloo and Cedar Falls. I later pursued an MA in School Guidance and Counseling. I have been a special education teacher for 15 years and a school counselor 12 years. Education has changed a great deal through those years. My goal through this web page is to help students, parents, grandparents and community members to understand the relationship between special education and general education in our school setting. I also will try to highlight various disorders and new information in our educational world.
